Mimi Mansour

Mimi has had horses in her life since she was 4 years old, at 7 she got her first pony Dakota. Believe it or not board for a pony was $50 a month back then. For the next 3 years she competed in barrel racing at local rodeos and gymkhanas.  With her next horse King, she ran barrels and team penned in CA and AZ at the High School Rodeo level. More recently her focus has been in Extreme Cowboy Racing, which combines speed with trail obstacles, ranch riding and liberty.

Mimi has been teaching riders of all ages and levels in the western discipline for over 10 years. After working in sales, childcare and pursuing a higher education she decided to follow her passion and made a full time equine career change.

She stresses the importance of connecting with the horse by learning their language through groundwork and compassionate care of the horse. General horsemanship, obstacle courses and trail rides are all a part of her program creating well rounded confident riders.

As a trainer, Mimi uses natural horsemanship to build a relationship with the horse. This enables her to gain the trust needed to help the horse to be the best they can be, whether they are learning new skills, need conditioning or to just be a better horse citizen!

When working with horses and teaching riders she emphasizes the importance of establishing a kind relationship with the animal, in which both parties must keep up with their end of the bargain.
